1932 12HP 2 door convertible with Dickey Seat

12HP rolling chassis with its attractive original dickey seated drophead body, removed from the car. Mostly complete and previously in very long term ownership.

A lot of the mechanical components were rebuilt sometime around the 80s when the car was taken off the road and dismantled, eg we are told that the engine has new pistons, new bearings etc. It has been dry stored since then. 

The engine, a 12hp sidevalve engine turns freely on the starting handle. 

We've recently had the inlet manifold repaired and will be attempting to start the engine in the next week or so. 

Despite being dismantled, we think the car is mostly complete. The bodywork is very solid but needs some repairs to wings and around the rear of the body tub. 

The seats are there but are very dry and split, so will need work. 

The chassis is solid, radiator and grill seem to be in good shape. 

The water pump is no good. A cost effective solution may be to fit an electric water pump, eg a Davies Craig unit.
